Cenovus Energy – Foster Creek SAGD Expansion Project

Contributed to the construction and expansion of key infrastructure during the development of Foster Creek Phases F, G, and H. Activities supported increased steam generation and bitumen production

Scope of Work

  • Assisted in the development and expansion of central processing facilities (CPF) including once-through steam generators (OTSGs), water treatment systems (WACs/OTUs), and emulsion handling units

  • Supported mechanical installation of major equipment such as separators, pumps, heat exchangers, and chemical injection skids

  • Oversaw above-ground piping installation, including steam distribution lines, production and utility piping, and tie-ins to live systems

  • Worked within Alberta's regulatory framework (AER), adhering to Cenovus and contractor HSE procedures in live SAGD operational environments

  • Engaged in well pad development and infrastructure tie-ins, including instrumentation, ESD valve assemblies, and control cabinets

  • Provided field-level support during pre-commissioning and commissioning of systems—line flushing, hydrotesting, LOTO execution, and function testing

  • Coordinated with electrical and instrumentation teams for power and signal cabling, terminations, and loop checks
