BHP - Jansen Potash Project

We entered an intensive construction phase focused on the development of the Dry Mill facility—one of the core components of Canada’s largest potash mine. The Dry Mill is responsible for screening, drying, and sizing potash product prior to storage and shipping.

Scope of Work

  • Structural steel erection, cladding, and enclosure of the mill building to support internal mechanical installations and equipment protection

  • Installation of major processing equipment including potash dryers, screening decks, conveyance systems, dust collection units, and product handling infrastructure

  • Mechanical and electrical fit-out of utility systems, process piping, HVAC, instrumentation, and cable tray routing to support plant commissioning

  • Ongoing pre-commissioning activities such as equipment alignment, testing, system flushing, and energization in preparation for commissioning and operational readiness

  • Integration of automation and control systems, including SCADA networks, MCCs, and instrumentation required for remote operation and monitoring

  • Heavy lift coordination for mill components using cranes and engineered rigging plans in congested work zones

  • Strict implementation of safe work practices related to confined space, energized equipment isolation (LOTO), and work-at-height protocols
